I had come to Dharamshala on 6th October 2023, for 2 days and I had booked a room in Hotel Royle Castle for 1 day thinking that if the stay was good then I would continue for the 2nd day. The hotel charged me 4500 INR for one day and at the time of booking at the reception they clearly said that breakfast was included in 4500. But the next day when I ordered breakfast in the morning and then I called the reception and said that I want breakfast in the room and this breakfast is included in 4500 then there was a man named Vicky Thakur at the reception and he spoke very rudely and said that your breakfast is not included. I told him that yesterday at the time of booking they said that breakfast was included which Vicky Thakur flatly denied and Vicky Thakur was not ready to listen to anything and was talking very rudely. Anyways I had already paid the money so I couldn’t do anything but if any of you plan to stay here in Dharamshala at Royal Castle then my genuine advice is that don’t make the mistake of staying here.

Although the location is just perfect but my experience is worst . . . Unprofessional staff and worst cheff . . Food is pathetic seems they don't even know how to make chapati . . Door handles and washroom locks are broken . . . And when we try to connect with them on phone they just cut the phones without listening 🙏🏻. . Professionalism missing in every department 🙏🏻

Pretty decent rooms considering the price. Guests have access to the terrace which has incredible views. Depending on the room, the view could be pretty amazing too. There are no refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms but they do provide a water boiler with coffee, tea, creamer and sugar. Bottled water is also on the house. Overall, we really enjoyed staying here. The skyway is about a 10 mins walk.

We stayed one night here. The location of this property is prime. Near by maximum mall and tea garden. But the service and management is so poor. We booked room online . They provide us the room which is already occupied. Then change our room. Room service was too late and not proper. Breakfast buffet was not proper everyone was asking for food and all. And at the time of check out they did not know what is our total amount due . And late for the check out. Overall not a good experience at all .

Had a pretty bad experience in the hotel. We visited in mid-February-2023 and the hotel manager was extremely rude. The cups, glasses and water kettle in the room was soiled and dirty. The TV set-top box in the room wasn't recharged and only got recharges after several calls to reception. They didn't accept UPI payment or card despite having facility for the same and only accepted cash. On check-out, they even refused to store our luggage for 3 -4 hours as our bus was in the evening. Overall a bad experience although the location is close to mall/ bus-stop. Suggest to avoid this Hotel.

Came here to visit for one day, the management is worst of the hotel, we were kept waiting for breakfast had to wait 1 hour for breakfast then were denied the breakfast. The manager is unreachable. Front desk office has no answers. Highly disappointed by the staff behavior and service. Was chatting with the hotel service but still didn't get the manager's contact number. Idk who is operating the chat on the other side but still no resolutions. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Please do not Come here you will regret it later on.
